Description

Volunteer roles:
Volunteers guide students through homework and enhance their learning motivations.
Communicate with parents about the students' learning when necessary (staff will assist with sign language interpretation)

Background of the students:
Age: 6-12 (Primary 1-6)
1.These students have noraml hearing abilities but their parents are with hearing impairments.
2.This makes their parents hard to support their children's homework.

Volunteer Requirements:
1.Cantonese speakers aged 16/+ who can read/write traditional Chinese and English.
2.Be patient when communicating with children.

All volunteers who attend this activity must be registered with HandsOn Hong Kong. If you wish to have a friend or family member joining you on this activity, they must first register with HandsOn and sign up for the activity.

Reasons to participate

Participating in this volunteer activity allows students to make a difference by supporting younger students with their homework, fostering empathy and responsibility while enhancing communication skills.
